Depression: A Brief Introduction

A simple explanation for depression is a markedly low mood that has lasted longer than two weeks and is a change from previous behavior. Some depressive episodes that happen over and over can require long-term treatment.

Some of the symptoms to look for include: a sense of hopelessness, empty feelings, anger/frustration over every day things, a significant loss of interest in hobbies or even daily activities, weight changes and sleep changes.
